Student LifeNet activists are demonstrating outside a pro-abortion conference on Tuesday. The conference features the under-investigation British Pregnancy Advisory Service, and Catholics for a Free Choice. The demonstration will take place from 2pm onwards outside the Science Media Centre at the Royal Institution, London.
Patrick Leahy, director of Student LifeNet commented:
‘Students are outraged that any organisation continues to support the current absurd abortion law.
‘Our presence today demonstrates how hard we intend to fight for a massive reduction in the abortion time limit. We will not allow pro-abortionists to make their deplorable views heard without opposition.
‘A change in the abortion law is long overdue. UK law has failed to keep up-to-date with medical developments and is out-of-step with virtually all other European laws. The horrifically high number of abortions, rapidly approaching 200,000 a year, desperately needs to be cut.
‘It’s time to lower the abortion limit, by at least 10 weeks, on the way to the full abandonment of abortion.'
