BJOG ARTICLE CLAIMS FOETUSES MUST BE ELIMINATED AT ANY COST
Commenting on an article featured in this month's British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology entitled "Neonatal death following termination of pregnancy", Patrick Leahy, Director of Student LifeNet commented:
'The article highlights how abortionists are treating the unborn child like a disease that must be eliminated at any cost. It underlines the possibility of an unborn child being born alive after an abortion as early as 18 weeks gestation. But their answer to the problem is to implement feticide to ensure the child dies. Such a view is utterly vile.
'Concerns must also be raised at the "significant underreporting" of neonatal death following abortion. Exactly how many babies are surviving abortion procedures? This is wholly unacceptable and must be addressed by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology as well as the Department of Health. Self-regulation is clearly not working.
'More generally, the instances of babies being born-alive after abortions highlights the need for the Government to urgently consider reviewing the country's out-of-date abortion laws.'
